From Teacher to Storyteller:

The Journey of Judy Cohen

Judy Cohen

My name is Judy Cohen, I am the mother of two and the Grammy to four children. I have always been a teacher. I taught for twenty-seven years for the New York City Department of Education. I have a B.A. in fine arts, and a master’s degree in education, plus many credits beyond. I taught kindergarten, as well as working as a Mentor for new teachers. I led adult classes teaching arts and crafts. I worked in homeless shelters providing lessons in fine art. I loved teaching. When I retired, I cared for my new grandchildren and ran a successful toy business. The last two years I have been writing. I have a popular advice column as well as stories about my teaching days and life. My husband and I have a Havanese dog Stormy who is 17 years old. It has always been my dream to write a book. Thank you, family, for making my dreams come true.
